Established in 2017, Gading Marine came with the aspiration to become a world-class leader in regional shipbuilding and to be the preferred solution provider in the marine industry. Backed by internationally recognized capabilities, we steadfastly delivered excellence across shipbuilding, fabrication, and maintenance services to achieve these goals.
Specializing in building state-of-the-art, marine-certified vessels, our expertise has been proven through the successful delivery of six Fast Interceptor Crafts (FICs) to the Royal Malaysian Navy within six months. These vessels were fully fabricated and assembled at our shipyard in Lumut, Perak, demonstrating our commitment to local production and operational excellence.

Dato' Ir. Haji Jamalolail Mohd Yatim
Managing Director
Dato’ Ir. Haji Jamalolail Mohd Yatim serves as the Managing Director of Gading Marine Industry (M) Sdn Bhd, a prominent Malaysian shipbuilding company specializing in defense and security vessels. With over 30 years of experience in the marine and shipbuilding industry, he has significantly contributed to Malaysia’s maritime capabilities. Dato’ Ir. Haji Jamalolail holds a degree in Marine Engineering from the United States and began his career with the Malaysian Marine Department, gaining extensive experience in maritime operations. He is also a certified Classification Surveyor with the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), underscoring his technical expertise.
Under his leadership, Gading Marine has achieved notable milestones, including the successful delivery of multiple Fast Interceptor Craft (FIC) G2000 MKII vessels to the Royal Malaysian Navy. These vessels, equipped with advanced features such as Remote Control Weapon Stations and capable of speeds up to 52 knots, enhance Malaysia’s maritime defense and surveillance operations. Known for his disciplined and meticulous approach, Dato’ Ir. Haji Jamalolail continues to drive Gading Marine towards excellence in shipbuilding, contributing to the nation’s defense and maritime industry growth.
Haji Baharin Baharuddin
Director of Operations
Haji Baharin Baharuddin is the Executive Director of Gading Marine Industry (M) Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian shipbuilder focused on defense and security vessels. With over 30 years in the industrial and maritime sectors, he oversees shipbuilding operations and vessel management. He holds a diploma in Mechanical Marine Engineering from Polytechnic Ungku Omar, Ipoh. He began as a Marine Engineer with MISC Berhad and later joined UMW Industrial Power as a Service Executive, specializing in industrial machinery services.
He went on to lead UNH Fabrication Sdn Bhd and Ahead Marine Industry (M) Sdn Bhd, gaining deep experience in fabrication and marine operations. At Gading Marine, his leadership helps drive the company’s mission to deliver advanced, marine-certified vessels like the Fast Interceptor Craft (FIC) G2000 MKII.
