Sabah, 12th March 2025 – MINDEF Secretary General, Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali, witnessed the Phase Two Physical Handing Over (PHO) Ceremony of four units Fast Interceptor Craft (FIC) G2000 MKII at the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) Base in Kota Kinabalu, Teluk Sepanggar today.
The signing of the handover was officiated by Dato’ Ir. Jamalolail bin Mohd Yatim, Managing Director of Gading Marine Industry, and Puan Hazlin binti Selamat, Deputy Under Secretary of Procurement Division (B), Ministry of Defence.
The FIC G2000 MKII is manufactured and supplied by Gading Marine Industry (M) Sdn. Bhd. where the company had previously delivered four units of the first phase on January 11, 2024, while the remaining five units are expected to be handed over by the end of this year, bringing the total to 13 units. This initiative will further strengthen the nation's defense and security readiness.
